The Field Services Division is the front line of the Anderson Police Department. The Field Services Division is made up of uniformed Police Officers, Community Service Officers, Cadets, Chaplains, and Volunteers ready to respond to both emergency and non-emergency incidents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The primary function of the Field Services Division is to respond to 9-1-1 calls and other calls for service throughout the city. These calls for service range from minor incidents to large-scale emergencies. When patrol officers are not responding to calls, their mission is to identify crime trends, deter crime, and work collectively with the citizens and businesses to find solutions to those issues. The Field Services Division prides itself on being proactive in its fight against the criminal element.
The Field Services Division contains several specialty assignments such as K9, Bicycle Patrol, Rangemaster, Armorer, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator. These specialty positions are utilized in several ways to aid in the overall mission of the Anderson Police Department.
Under my leadership, the Field Services Division will continue to be dedicated to serving the community while always remembering our four core values of Respect, Integrity, Courage, Honor. We will work tirelessly as a team with our community to make Anderson a great place to live and work!
