Help support our K9 Program!

Our 2025 fundraiser is over, but you can still help our program!

Check out the 2025 K9 Dinner recap!

Why Your Support Matters

Our K9 officers are more than just working dogs—they’re trusted partners in protecting our community. Each K9 team undergoes rigorous training in detection, tracking, and patrol work to help locate missing persons, uncover narcotics, and de-escalate dangerous situations. But this level of excellence comes at a cost.

From protective vests to medical care, specialized training, and transportation equipment, maintaining a K9 program requires ongoing financial support. Unlike other units, K9 teams often rely on donations and fundraising to stay mission-ready.

Your contribution will help fund:

  • Purchase and training of our next K9
  • Continued training and certification
  • Veterinary care and wellness supplies
  • Essential safety gear for both handlers and dogs

When you give, you’re not just donating—you’re investing in public safety, community outreach, and the wellbeing of our four-legged heroes.

Meet Our K9 Team

The Anderson Police Department currently maintains two canine teams. The K9 Unit is primarily funded by financial contributions from members of the community. The donations are used to sustain the canine program by covering the cost of numerous expenditures such as veterinary care, equipment, and specialized training.

If you would like to make a donation to the K9 Unit, please contact Sgt. Brandon Smith at bsmith@andersonpolice.org.
